Marshall Bruce Mathers III (October 17, 1972, St. Joseph, Missouri) known by his stage name Eminem (EMINƎM stylized) is a rapper, record producer and actor. It became popular in 1999 with his album The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Their next album, The Marshall Mathers LP, became best-selling album in hip hop history and the fastest in the United States. Eminem won greater popularity, which stressed his own record label Shady Records, and led his group D12 to a general recognition.
